ACC game of the year? Maybe.
The game of the week matches up two top ten teams in the ACC conference, #3 Clemson versus #5 Florida State. Last year’s match up, in Tallahassee, favored the Seminole’s 49-37. It’s a new year, and a different location. Both teams are undefeated and ranked inside the top 5. It’s safe to say that whoever wins this game, will most likely represent the Atlantic division in the ACC.
A key player to watch in this game for Florida State is “Famous” Jameis Winston. This young quarterback is having a Heisman year so far. With 17 Touchdowns and only 2 interceptions, this explosive offensive runs well with Winston controlling it. Linebacker Christian Jones played an important role in the Seminoles defense against Clemson last year. Lining up at outside linebacker and sometimes defensive end, he was very active in stopping the running game of Clemson.
Clemson has their fair share of players to watch out for as well. Tajh Boyd has been taking most of the offense on his shoulders. With Boyd throwing for 334 yards in last week’s win, there is no doubt that this is his offense. The most important part for Clemson will be to come out of the gate and utilize their home field advantage.
Key things to watch for:
Florida State: Coming off of a bye week, will FSU be flat or well prepared?
Clemson: Can Clemson receivers match up with FSU’s talented core of defensive backs? Can Clemson keep home field advantage?
